Dolls
Dolls have been a huge fixation of mine ever since I first watched Rozen Maiden in middle school. I always dreamed of having dolls of my own, but the hobby was inaccessible to me, and my crafting abilities weren't in a satisfactory place for a long time. Now that I have a full time job that I can put away personal savings for, and now that I've been able to become more comfortable with sewing and general DIY, I decided to take the plunge and start collecting.
I'm mostly interested in anime-style 1/4 scale (usually around 40cm tall) and 1/6 scale (usually around 20-30cm tall) dolls. I tend to prefer vinyl MJD (mechanical jointed dolls), as opposed to BJD, which are usually made out of resin and have a joint system that relies on elastic strings. My favorite aspect of dolls is customization, so I don't really love fullset dolls (dolls that come fully completed with a painted face and pre-made outfit). But I still get snared by them sometimes anyway. Lol!
